DAY BY DAY ITENERARY

Day 1 -SJO INT’L AIRPORT – NARANJO COFFEE PLANTATIONS

Arrival at the Juan Santamaría Int’l Airport (SJO). A Swiss Travel representative will meet and greet you upon arrival and will provide you with all the necessary documentation that you will need. Then, you will be transferred to Naranjo Coffee Plantations area. Overnight at Chayote Lodge.

Day 2 -NARANJO – ARENAL VOLCANO (Breakfast & Dinner)

Visit the coffee plantations of Espiritu Santo, where you will know traditional methods that transform small reddish fruits into world coffee exports. Afterwards you will be taken to the Arenal Volcano area for a 3 night stay at Tabacon Resort Hotel. For the evening, you will be on your own and can visit the natural hot springs.

Day 3 - ARENAL VOLCANO (Breakfast & Lunch) Today, you will enjoy a full day tour discovering the northern wetlands. The tour consists of a boat safari tour along the banks of the Rio Frio in search of different species of birds, mammals and reptiles.

The Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge together with Río Frío is a biologically wetland area, one of Costa Rica's richest areas of biological diversity. For the afternoon return to the Arenal Volcano selected hotel for overnight.

Day 4 - ARENAL VOLCANO (Breakfast)

This day is reserved at your disposal to enjoy (extra cost) the different tourist attractions that can be found nearby Arenal Volcano.

Day 5 - ARENAL VOLCANO – GUANACASTE BEACHES (Breakfast)

The first part of the transfer is adorned with the beautiful scenery of the Arenal Lake. Then, you will admire the incomparable beauty of the landscapes, this route will provide you with panoramic views of the Gulf of Nicoya until you reach the Pan-American Highway where you will notice a change between the rainforest and the tropical dry forest that characterizes the entire Guanacaste Province.

Hotel stay beyond this point is NOT included and is to be booked by guests on their own.

On day 5, as the transfer is being offered in general to the Guanacaste area (as we will limit below), it will allow you the option of selecting the beach hotel of your preference for the remainder of your journey.

Beach hotel accommodations are not included in the price of package. This and any service beyond day 5 is an extra cost to guests
