Located within the Volcano House Hotel. A one of a kind experience in a historic room with views of the surrounding Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
We have purposely kept televisions out of our rooms to encourage guests to enjoy all the beauty of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Instead of televisions, we do offer free use of iPads and Wi-Fi, daily guided walking tours of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park,
free bike rentals, live entertainment in Uncle George’s Lounge, board and card games, and a lending library with guide books, cultural history and children’s bedtime stories. Ask at the front desk for further information on any of these programs. If you do
need to catch the big game, television is available in Uncle George’s Lounge.
None of our guest rooms are equipped with air conditioning. The average high temperature runs between 67 and 73 degrees Fahrenheit and at an elevation of nearly 4000 feet, most of our guests are surprised how cool it can be in the park and that’s why we’ve
installed new heaters in all of our guest rooms. Each room is equipped with a fan if you do require additional cooling.

Located within the Volcano House Hotel. A one of a kind experience in a historic room with unparalleled views. The Crater View rooms overlook Halema‘uma‘u Crater at the summit of Kilauea Volcano in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on Hawaii's Big Island.
All of our Crater View rooms overlook Kilauea caldera and most offer views of the plume and glow from Halemaumau crater. The views also include the endemic ohia tree, and its blossom, the lehua flower. While these trees may partially obscure the views of
the caldera from some rooms, please understand that they are a vital part of the Park’s ecosystem and cannot be removed.
